Statement

Problem 4.5 of Goto et al.: if (a relaxed version of) quantum error correction is a fundamental feature of quantum gravity, how does it constrain low-energy effective field theory — and does it connect to Swampland criteria that separate consistent EFTs from those with no UV completion in QG?

Why It Matters

Peripheral to the group (Swampland / string-EFT is outside the current lines). Included for completeness of Theme 3; noted here mainly as a marker of the QEC-meets-particle-physics direction.

What We Know

  • Swampland conjectures (no global symmetries, weak gravity, distance) constrain EFTs coupled to gravity.
  • “No global symmetries” already has a holographic-QEC proof (Harlow–Ooguri) — a concrete QEC ↔ Swampland link.

Possible Approaches

  • Derive further EFT constraints from the QEC property of holography.
  • Sharpen the QEC origin of existing Swampland statements.
