Overview

Ghent University is a major Belgian research university. The collaboration involves the KU Leuven campus specifically, where david-dudal is based. It is the group’s primary European institutional partner. The collaboration is supported by the CAPES-PrInt program “Strong Interactions: Theoretical Foundations and Applications,” a Brazilian federal program for international scientific partnerships.

Ghent University also participated in a cotutelle PhD arrangement: Duifje van Egmond completed a jointly supervised PhD (2020) under the co-supervision of david-dudal, representing the deepest form of the institutional collaboration.

Researchers

  • david-dudal — primary collaborator at Ghent; 20+ joint papers since 2010; co-supervisor of cotutelle PhD (2020).

Research Focus

The Ghent collaboration spans two distinct but related research programs:

  1. Gribov physics and spectral functions: the core of the long-standing collaboration since 2010. Topics include the Gribov-Zwanziger and refined Gribov-Zwanziger (RGZ) frameworks, Gribov copies and the Gribov horizon in Landau gauge, gluon and ghost propagators, spectral functions, glueball masses, and Higgs-confinement phases. This work falls within the gribov-zwanziger and confinement-duality areas.

  2. Bell-CHSH in gauge theories: more recent joint work on formulating Bell-CHSH inequalities consistently with the BRST symmetry structure of gauge-fixed non-abelian gauge theories. This represents the intersection of the quantum information program with the Gribov-BRST physics line.
